Angela and Jacob's Wedding at Almansor Court in Alhambra, CA
"I didn't dream of being a bride, but I dreamt of love, and my dreams came true in you." Angela and Jacob's wedding at Almansor Court was a celebration of a love that feels easy in the best way. Two weeks into their relationship, the words "I love you" were already spoken, and years later, the certainty of forever followed.
A Lakeside Morning
The day began beside the lake, with their rings resting in a wooden "Always & Forever" box among lavender, plum and peach flowers. Angela, in a full ballgown, and Jacob, in a cream embroidered jacket, strolled hand in hand past the Lakeview Room under the palms and shared a twirl in the white gazebo before guests arrived.
Vows at the Gazebo
Angela was escorted down the garden path to the ceremony, where guests in lavender and peach filled the lawn beside the gazebo and its fountain. Their vows were full of heart and humor: a promise of more words of affirmation (starting right then with "you are just so beautiful"), a promise to keep whimsy in their lives even as they grow old, and a very practical promise to let each other sleep in on days off, even after swearing to get up early. Jacob sealed it with a dip kiss as everyone cheered.
A Reception Full of Music
The reception moved into a sunlit, glass-walled room overlooking the golf course, where every place setting held a photo collage of the couple and a thank-you cookie. Angela and Jacob shared their first dance, cut a cake topped with lavender and orange flowers, friends picked up guitars for a live performance, and family in lavender took over the dance floor with a routine of their own.

About Almansor Court
Almansor Court is an event center in Alhambra, in the San Gabriel Valley, set right on a golf course and lake. Ceremonies can take place at the lakeside gazebo beside the fountain or on the Palm Court patio, and receptions move indoors to the Almansor Ballroom, the Lakeview Room or the Greenhouse Room. The venue hosts from 35 to about 500 seated guests, with catering and bar service handled in-house. For portraits, plan time along the lake path and under the palms near golden hour.
