Vivian & Alex's Colony House Wedding Photos

A Colony House Wedding in Anaheim
Vivian and Alex met while working at a Taiwanese boba shop, so of course there was Wushiland boba at their wedding. They still love trying new local restaurants and walking around people watching, and they will both tell you the other one is the funniest person they know. They married on August 23, 2026 at The Colony House in Anaheim, in dusty blue, sage green and white with gold accents and soft pink florals. They shared a first look at the living wall, said their vows in the Pavilion and celebrated in the Great Hall. Here are their Colony House wedding photos, captured by One and Only Production.
Getting Ready at The Colony House
Vivian got ready in a bright suite, with her gown hanging on the barn door and her bridesmaids in dusty blue helping with the last buttons. Her details matched the palette: a dusty blue invitation suite with a wax seal, pink ranunculus and a velvet ring box. Alex and his groomsmen got ready in the lounge in grey suits, with Alex in olive and a pocket watch in hand.
A First Look at the Living Wall
They saw each other for the first time at The Colony House's living wall, the spot they had picked out ahead of time. Alex waited facing the greenery while Vivian walked up with her cathedral veil trailing behind her, and the two of them could not stop laughing once he turned around.
Wedding Party Portraits
Vivian's bridesmaids wore dusty blue and carried flower baskets instead of bouquets, and Alex's groomsmen, all college friends, wore grey. We photographed them by the living wall, along the bookshelves and bar of the main hall and in a full group around the mustard sofa.
Portraits Around The Colony House
Vivian loved the look of sunlight through a veil, so we started there, then moved through the property: the living wall, the patio, the stairwell, the mustard sofa and the long bar with its open shelves. They kept each other laughing the whole way, which made the playful poses easy.
Wedding Ceremony in the Pavilion
The ceremony was in the Pavilion, with rows of wooden chairs under the wood trusses and a white floral arch by Letter of Ipe. Vivian walked in with both of her parents and hugged them at the front before joining Alex. Their friend Joel officiated, the guests laughed through the vows, and the newlyweds came back up the aisle cheering with their wedding party.
Reception in the Great Hall
Before guests came in, Vivian and Alex got the Great Hall to themselves for a room reveal and a quiet dance. The room was set under the wood trusses with white florals, candles and a floral arch behind the sweetheart table. Guests found Wushiland boba, desserts from Patty's Cakes and Krispy Kreme, and a live artist drawing portraits through the night.
Grand Entrance and First Dance
The wedding party danced in to cheers, and Vivian and Alex made their entrance through the barn doors. Their choreographed first dance had everything they asked for: underarm turns, a spinning lift and a final dip.
Parent Dances and Speeches
Their parents joined them on the dance floor next, and Alex shared a dance with his mom. Then came the speeches, with plenty of laughs from the guests and hugs at the sweetheart table.
A Shoe Game, a Blind Box Toss and a Surprise Dance
The reception was full of games: a shoe game that had the whole room laughing, then a blind box toss in place of the bouquet and garter toss, with friends and kids scrambling across the floor. Alex then surprised Vivian with a dance of his own before they cut the cake topped with figures of the two of them.
A Packed Dance Floor
Once the dance floor opened, Rey of Dreamsound Company kept it full, and Vivian danced with her white bow bouncing the rest of the night.
Night Portraits Under the Lights
Vivian had asked for night photos, so we slipped out after dark for a few portraits among the hanging lights and under the string lights of the patio.
