The Colony House Weddings in Anaheim
The Colony House is an Anaheim event venue with whitewashed brick, a Great Hall under a bow-truss ceiling, an open-air Pavilion with wood beams and a living wall, and a patio strung with bistro lights. We have photographed and filmed a number of weddings here, and the ones on our blog are collected below so you can see the venue across different palettes and styles.

Planning a Colony House Wedding
Ceremony and Reception Spaces
Ceremonies are often held in the Pavilion, an open-air space under exposed wood trusses with a living wall. Receptions move into the Great Hall, with its bow-truss ceiling, elevated stage and whitewashed brick, and the upstairs Loft bar connects to it. The Patio, with a fireplace and bistro lights, is a smaller outdoor space.
Getting Ready at The Colony House
There are suites on site for both sides, including the Hideaway for the wedding party, so getting ready, details and the first look can all happen at the venue.
Our Favorite Photo Spots
The living wall is our favorite first look spot. Inside, the bookshelves and long bar of the main hall, the stairwell and the lounge furniture make fun portrait backdrops, and the patio string lights are the place for night portraits.
Timing Tips
Plan the first look at the living wall. It is close to the suites and the Pavilion, so wedding party photos can follow right after.
Ask for a room reveal. A few minutes alone in the Great Hall before guests come in gives you time to see the room and practice your first dance.
Save a few minutes after dark. Night portraits under the patio lights only take a short break from the dance floor.
