Sochi & Jay at Sierra La Verne

A Sierra La Verne Wedding in La Verne
Sochi and Jay met on Veggly, a dating site, and what makes them laugh most is teasing each other. More than anything, they were looking forward to celebrating with their loved ones. They married on November 22, 2025 at Sierra La Verne by Wedgewood Weddings in La Verne. The day began at the DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont with a lively door game and a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, with Sochi and Jay in red and gold embroidered attire. In the afternoon came a first look under the brick arches, a garden ceremony, golden hour portraits and a reception in dusty blue and white, finished with a flower wall, a first dance and a full dance floor. Here is their Sierra La Verne wedding, photographed by One and Only Production.
The Details
Sochi's morning details were all red and gold: an embroidered fan with a white crane, gold bangles and hair pieces, and red double happiness accents. Their invitation and an engagement photo sat right alongside.
The Door Game at the DoubleTree Claremont
The day started at the DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont, where a hand painted banner of the couple hung on the door. Jay arrived in a red and gold embroidered jacket, and his groomsmen worked through the bridesmaids' challenges, push ups included, before he could reach Sochi.
The Tea Ceremony
Back in the hotel suite, Sochi and Jay served tea to their families in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Family members shared blessings and gifts of gold jewelry, and the room was full of red and gold.
Portraits at the DoubleTree Claremont
Before heading to La Verne, we took Sochi and Jay out to the hotel balcony and garden paths for portraits in their red embroidered attire, with a few photos with family along the way.
Sochi at Sierra La Verne
At Sierra La Verne, Sochi changed into her white off the shoulder gown and held a bouquet of white blooms. The brick archways and the green hedges on the lawn made simple, timeless backdrops, and her bridesmaids Bonnie and Rani joined her in dusty blue.
Jay Gets Ready
Jay changed into a black tuxedo with a blue bow tie, with help from his groomsmen on the cufflinks and jacket.
First Look Under the Brick Arches
Jay waited in the covered walkway at Sierra La Verne while Sochi walked up with her bridesmaids. The first look was full of smiles, a kiss on the cheek and plenty of laughing.
The Wedding Party
Bridesmaids Bonnie Wong and Rani Chan and groomsmen Russell Dott and Joey Van Der Linden joined Sochi and Jay under the arches and out on the ceremony lawn.
Ceremony in the Garden at Sierra La Verne
The 2:00 PM ceremony took place in the garden at Sierra La Verne, with a white arbor, rows of white chairs and string lights overhead. Sochi walked down the aisle with a family member, and she and Jay exchanged vows with their wedding party beside them. They finished with a kiss and a champagne toast.
Portraits in the Ceremony Garden
After the ceremony we stayed in the garden for portraits under the arbor as the light turned golden, and Sochi and Jay took a golf cart ride around the grounds.
Reception at Sierra La Verne
The reception room at Sierra La Verne was set with gold chairs, white linens, dusty blue napkins and white florals under crystal chandeliers. A white and blue flower wall framed the sweetheart table, and two plush bears and wooden S and J letters added a playful touch.
Grand Entrance and First Dance
Sochi and Jay held up their S and J letters for the grand entrance as guests waved napkins in the air. Their first dance was not choreographed, and it was sweet from the first bow to the final kiss.
Speeches and Cake
Sochi changed into a red evening dress for the rest of the night. Guests gave toasts, Sochi and Jay said their thank yous, and they cut a white tiered cake together.
Dance Floor and Sweetheart Table
The dance floor filled up quickly, with Sochi and Jay dancing alongside family and friends, and the sweetheart table became the spot for hugs and photos with loved ones.
