Pauline & Kenneth's Richard Nixon Library Wedding Photos

A Richard Nixon Library Wedding in Yorba Linda
Pauline and Kenneth met through a mutual friend in college over a Skype study session, and on November 9, 2025 they gathered everyone they love at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. The day began with door games and a tea ceremony in San Gabriel, followed by sweet first looks with Pauline's parents and with Kenneth. A string quartet set the tone for the ceremony, and the two slipped away afterward for sunset portraits in soft, golden light. Inside, the reception reveal set the stage for a night of good music, good food, and Stella Jean's ice cream. Here is a sneak peek of their Richard Nixon Library wedding photos, captured by One and Only Production.
Their day at the Richard Nixon Library
November light goes quickly in Yorba Linda. Sunset on their date was 4:52 PM, so the ceremony started at 3:40 PM and portraits followed right after. Here is how their afternoon at the library ran:
1:00 PM: Couple and wedding party arrive, vendor access opens
1:15 PM: Getting ready, a first look with Pauline's parents, and Kenneth's solo portraits by the presidential helicopter
1:40 PM: First look and couple portraits
1:50 PM: Wedding party photos
2:20 PM: Family photos at the ceremony site
3:00 PM: Marriage license signing and guest arrival
3:40 PM: Ceremony with a live string quartet
4:20 PM: Sunset portraits during cocktail hour
5:00 PM: Reception room reveal
5:30 PM: Grand entrance, first dance and parent dances
7:30 PM: Cake cutting and the ice cream station
Doing the first look and family photos before the ceremony is what made this work. With a fall sunset, it frees the short window after the ceremony for golden hour portraits instead of group lineups.
Portrait spots at the library
The grounds give you backdrops you will not find anywhere else. Kenneth's solo portraits were taken beside the presidential helicopter, the long reflecting pool is a natural frame for the two of you and your wedding party, and the gardens soften the afternoon light for family photos. One idea we love from Pauline's planning notes: floating spare invitations in the reflecting pool for a detail shot.
Reception reveal and parent dances
Before guests walked in, Pauline and Kenneth saw the finished ballroom together for a private room reveal. The grand entrance flowed straight into their first dance, a father and daughter dance and a mother and son dance, followed by toasts, a shoe game and a scavenger hunt. A live watercolor artist painted the evening while guests lined up for Stella Jean's ice cream.

Richard Nixon Library wedding FAQ
What time should a fall ceremony start?
Work back from sunset. Pauline and Kenneth's November 9 ceremony started at 3:40 PM with a 4:52 PM sunset, which left time for golden hour portraits right after the recessional. Doing the first look and family photos before the ceremony is what makes this possible.
When can vendors arrive?
Vendor access began at 1:00 PM for Pauline and Kenneth, with the event running from 3:00 to 10:00 PM. Confirm the exact window for your date with the library.
Can we take photos with the presidential helicopter?
Kenneth's solo portraits were taken beside it while Pauline was getting ready. Build 10 to 15 minutes into your timeline and ask the library which areas are open during your event.
Are you a Richard Nixon Library wedding photographer and videographer?
Yes. We are a husband-and-wife team covering both, in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and we have photographed and filmed several weddings at the library. Every couple fills out our planning questionnaire, so by the wedding day we already know your family groupings, your must-have shots and your timeline by heart.
