A Los Robles Greens Wedding in Thousand Oaks

Kelli and Alex met in high school and started dating as freshmen in December 2011. After college at the University of La Verne and Cal Poly SLO and years of a semi long distance relationship, Alex proposed, and everyone had the same reaction: "FINALLY!" They both started playing basketball at five, and they love their dogs, Dodgers and Lakers games, and traveling, with Japan their favorite trip. They married on April 5, 2025 at Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks, in a light and airy palette of neutrals, dusty pink and greenery. The day had a first look, an outdoor ceremony under a floral arch, sunset portraits, boba, churros and a full dance floor. The Details at Los Robles Greens

Kelli's details were laid out at Los Robles Greens in the light pink and neutral palette she loves: the invitation suite, an engagement photo, their rings and her sparkly heels. Florals were a big part of the day for them, so ivory and blush roses found their way into nearly every frame.

Getting Ready in the Los Robles Greens Bridal Suite

After hair and makeup by CM Bridal Beauty, Kelli and her bridesmaids moved into the Bridal Suite at Los Robles Greens. They started out in matching pajamas, then Kelli changed into her Evie Young gown while her bridesmaids in blush helped with the last buttons and her long veil.

Kelli and Her Bridesmaids

Kelli's bridesmaids got their first look at her in the gown by the pergola, and there were a few happy tears. Maid of honor Keira Kamida, Kelli's sister, and the bridesmaids carried ivory and blush bouquets from Besame Florals, and Kelli had one shot on her list in particular: herself in the middle of all of their bouquets.

Alex and His Groomsmen

Alex and his groomsmen got ready at the Golf Bar at Los Robles Greens. His navy suit hung in the trees outside before he put it on, and his brothers and best men, Andrew and Jonathan Der, kept things light with the rest of the guys.

Kelli and Alex's First Look

At 2:45 pm, Alex waited on the lawn with his back turned while Kelli walked up behind him. After twelve years together, it was still a big moment, and they took a few quiet minutes before the wedding party joined them.

The Wedding Party at Los Robles Greens

Seven bridesmaids, a maid of honor, two best men and five groomsmen made for a big, fun group. Kelli asked for some movement in these, so there were bouquets in the air, a tunnel of raised arms, and a group shot in front of the stone wall and floral arch.

Portraits at Los Robles Greens

Los Robles Greens gave us plenty of room for portraits: garden paths, tall trees, the open golf course lawn and a pond with its own reflection. Veil shots were on Kelli's list, and we made sure to get them, plus a dip in front of the floral arch before guests arrived.

Ceremony at Los Robles Greens

The 4:30 pm ceremony was outdoors at Los Robles Greens, with white chairs lining an aisle to the floral arch in front of a stone wall and a curtain of pink paper cranes by the welcome table. The wedding party walked in to "Bloom" by The Paper Kites, and Kelli came down the aisle with both of her parents to "Iris" by Kina Grannis. Kelli's aunt, Janice Yamane, officiated, and they walked back up the aisle as newlyweds to "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" by Natalie Cole.

Reception at Los Robles Greens

The reception was outdoors too, set on the lawn under string lights, with the floral arch moved over from the ceremony to frame the sweetheart table. The signature cocktails were a Tequila Sunrise and a Bay Breeze, and Kelli and Alex found a minute to try them together.

Grand Entrance and First Dances

The wedding party danced in with signs and big energy before Kelli and Alex made their grand entrance to "All Of the Lights." Their first dance was to "All My Life" by K-Ci & JoJo. Then Kelli danced with her dad while Alex danced with his mom, both at the same time, to "Always Be My Baby" by Mariah Carey.

Welcome Speeches and Toasts

Both sets of parents welcomed everyone to the reception, and Kelli and Alex were given white flower leis. Later, as the string lights came on, toasts came from bridesmaid Arin Lee, Jonathan Der, maid of honor Keira Kamida and Andrew Der, and Kelli and Alex closed with a thank you of their own.

Golden Hour at the Gate

Just before the 7:20 pm sunset, we slipped out for photos by the fountain and the iron gate at Los Robles Greens. The low sun did the rest, and these are some of our favorite portraits of the day.

Boba, Cake and Churros

Kelli and Alex love sweet treats, and it showed. Azuki Tea dropped off 150 boba drinks, Sugar Lab Bake Shop made a three tier cake in white almond with cinnamon cream cheese, lemon with blueberry Swiss buttercream, and chocolate with cookies and cream, and the Churro Champ cart opened later in the night. There was a little cake on Alex's face, and the churros became a heart.

Dancing at Los Robles Greens

Everyone gathered on the dance floor for one big group photo, then Mr. J Funk opened it up with "Dancing Queen" by ABBA. The floor stayed full under the string lights, light up foam sticks came out, and the night ended with "Forever" by Chris Brown.
