A Sierra La Verne Wedding in La Verne

Kate and Michael met on eHarmony, and these days their favorite dates are ice cream nights and time with their pets. Kate is a Hong Kong girl at heart, and Michael, by her account, is a jack of all trades who is secretly Batman. They married on January 17, 2026 at Sierra La Verne in La Verne, with bridesmaids in blush, groomsmen in navy and a cascading bouquet of lilac and white. They shared a first look by the brick arches, said their vows under the white pergola, took golden hour portraits on the golf course and danced the night away in the ballroom. Here are their Sierra La Verne wedding photos, captured by One and Only Production.

Details and Getting Ready

Kate's details included an engraved wooden ring box marked with their wedding date, a lilac invitation suite and sparkling heels, while Michael's navy ties, brown shoes and a gift tied in navy ribbon waited on his side. Michael got ready in a navy suit, with a little help on his vest and cufflinks.

A First Look by the Brick Arches

Michael was looking forward to seeing Kate in her dress more than anything, so he waited in front of the brick arches at Sierra La Verne while she walked up in her cathedral veil. He turned around all smiles, and the two of them took their first portraits together around the courtyard.

Bridesmaids, Groomsmen and Pups

Kate's six bridesmaids wore blush and Michael's six groomsmen matched him in navy. Two very good dogs joined the wedding party too: a fluffy poodle in a navy bow tie and a little pup who curled up on a bridesmaid's train.

Bridal Portraits

Kate's cathedral veil and cascading bouquet of lilac roses and white blooms deserved their own moment, so we took a few portraits on the lawn and under the white pergola before guests arrived.

Ceremony Under the Pergola

The ceremony was set on the lawn, with white chairs lining the aisle and a white pergola draped in fabric and florals. Family watched from the front row, Pastor Stan Doll officiated, and after the kiss Kate and Michael threw their arms up and headed back up the aisle to cheers.

Golden Hour on the Golf Course

As the sun dropped, we took Kate and Michael out onto the golf course for golden hour. Her veil caught the wind across the grass, and they ended with a few quiet moments together as the sun set behind the trees.

Reception at Sierra La Verne

Inside, the ballroom was set with blush linens, gold chairs and lilac and white centerpieces under the arched windows, with a wooden guest book sign and favors waiting for guests.

Grand Entrance and First Dance

The bridesmaids made their entrance in sunglasses and the groomsmen danced their way in before Kate and Michael joined them. Then the two of them shared their first dance under the chandelier, finishing with a spin.

Speeches, Shoe Game, Cake and Bouquet Toss

Toasts from family and friends were followed by a shoe game that had the whole room laughing, a three-tier cake and a bouquet toss with plenty of hands in the air.

Dance Floor and Photo Booth

Once the dance floor opened it stayed packed, and the photo booth was busy all night, with the poodle making one last appearance in his bow tie.
