Eunice & Eric at Mandarin Baptist Church
March 29, 2025 · Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles, Alhambra
A Mandarin Baptist Church Wedding in Alhambra
Eunice and Eric describe themselves as two hard working partners who value each other and their families, and they believe they met in God's perfect time. She is a boba lover and he is a coffee addict. She loves cooking new recipes, and he happily eats everything she makes. They married on March 29, 2025, starting with a door game and tea ceremony at home, a first look at San Gabriel Mission, a ceremony at Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles in Alhambra, and a banquet at Five Star Seafood Restaurant in San Gabriel. The palette was sage green, peach and white. Here is their Mandarin Baptist Church wedding, photographed by One and Only Production.
Eunice Gets Ready at Home
The morning started at Eunice's family home in El Monte. She wore a red and gold qipao with beaded red shoes, and a red double happiness sign hung on the wall for the day's traditions.
The Door Game
Eric arrived with his groomsmen in gray suits, and Eunice's bridesmaids in olive green were waiting at the door. A photo puzzle and a couple of challenges later, Eric made it up the stairs to pick up his bride.
Tea Ceremony and Gifts
Eunice and Eric served tea to her parents and family in the living room, with Maid of Honor Winnie offering blessings and bridesmaids Meko and Jojo helping with the red envelopes and jewelry. Afterward, Eunice gave thank you gifts to her bridesmaids and her sisters.
Eric and His Groomsmen at San Gabriel Mission
Midday, everyone headed to San Gabriel Mission for portraits. Eric, Best Man Alex and groomsmen Danny and Tim had plenty of energy by the fountain.
First Look at San Gabriel Mission
Eunice took a few minutes on her own in her strapless gown and long veil before walking across the plaza to Eric. He turned around, and the hug that followed said everything.
The Wedding Party at San Gabriel Mission
Eunice's bridesmaids grabbed her veil and let it fly, and then the whole wedding party came together by the fountain. They were a loud, happy group.
Portraits at San Gabriel Mission
The tiered fountain, the red tile roofs and the garden beds gave us a classic California backdrop for Eunice and Eric's portraits before heading to the church.
Ceremony Details at Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles
At Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles in Alhambra, guests were welcomed with an arched sign wrapped in greenery and a guest book table. A gold arch with white florals stood on the altar under the stained glass window.
The Ceremony at Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles
Both mothers lit candles to open the ceremony, and Eunice walked down the aisle with her father to the instrumental "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" and "How Beautiful". Pastor Alan Chan led the service, Eunice and Eric exchanged vows and rings, and they thanked their parents with flowers during "謝謝祢 Thank You Lord", sung by Heidi. They walked back up the aisle to the Wedding March on the organ.
Family Photos and the Rainbow Glass Wall
After family photos at the altar, we brought Eunice and Eric to the church's Rainbow Glass Wall. The colorful stained glass made for some of our favorite portraits of the day.
Reception at Five Star Seafood Restaurant
The reception was a banquet for about 257 guests at Five Star Seafood Restaurant in San Gabriel. Tables were set in white with sage green napkins and peach and white centerpieces, and a flower wall waited for guest photos next to the sweetheart table.
Welcome and Grand Entrance
Eunice and Eric greeted guests at the flower wall before the MC brought in the wedding party. Then they made their grand entrance as Mr. and Mrs. Jong and thanked everyone for coming.
Toasts, Bouquet and Games
Eunice changed into a blue reception gown for the toasts from her father, Best Man Alex and Maid of Honor Winnie. She presented her bouquet to Winnie, and reception games had guests on their feet and laughing.
Cake Cutting and Table Greetings
Eunice and Eric cut their sage green and white cake from D'ange Bakery and raised a toast. Then they visited every table for group photos and a toast with their guests.
