A Paracel Events Wedding in Westminster

Emily and James laugh over funny jokes, memes and good food, and they wanted their wedding day to be about enjoying it with family and friends. They married on August 3, 2025, starting with portraits at the Noguchi Garden in Costa Mesa before a ceremony and reception at Paracel Events in Westminster. The day had a choreographed first dance, a lion dance and a Labubu toss, and the palette stayed white and dusty blue throughout. We started the day at the Noguchi Garden in Costa Mesa, where the sandstone walls and soft afternoon light suited Emily's lace gown and her white and blue thistle bouquet.

Emily and James asked for serious romantic shots, and the garden gave us plenty to work with: angled stone walls, desert plantings, twisted trees and a row of cypress.

Ceremony at Paracel Events

The ceremony took place under the crescent arch inside Paracel Events. Soo Yeon Ro officiated, family filled the front rows, and more than a few tears came out before the first kiss.

Emily and James greeted guests at the flower wall, then family danced their way in for a grand entrance that set the tone for the night.

A lion dance team brought drums, cymbals and two lions through the room, ending with red banners for the newlyweds.

James danced with his mom and Emily with her dad, and then the couple thanked their guests together from the stage.

They cut a white cake topped with two plush bears, and instead of a bouquet toss Emily threw a Labubu into a crowd of very determined friends.
