Elisa & Brandon at The Headquarters
October 19, 2025 · The Headquarters, San Diego
A Headquarters Wedding in San Diego
Elisa and Brandon met in college almost ten years ago through a mutual friend. Brandon liked Elisa the whole way through, and they started dating the summer they graduated. They still laugh most at their inside jokes, silly movie lines and memes. They married on October 19, 2025 at The Headquarters by Wedgewood Weddings, a 1939 police headquarters turned wedding venue in Seaport Village on the downtown San Diego waterfront. The palette was blush pink, white and soft blue, with navy and gold at the reception. The day held a ceremony under a floral arch, a first dance, red outfits for the afternoon and late afternoon portraits on the bay. Here is their Headquarters wedding, photographed by One and Only Production.
The Details
Elisa's beaded lace heels and perfume were styled with blue and blush flowers, and Brandon's flat lay had a pink bow tie, a blue boutonniere and a bottle of whisky.
Brandon Gets Ready in The Vault
Brandon got ready in The Vault, the dark green groom's suite at The Headquarters. He finished his black tuxedo and pink bow tie, then poured drinks at the bar with his groomsmen.
Elisa Gets Ready in The Rose Room
Elisa got ready in The Rose Room with her bridesmaids, all in matching robes. There were selfies, plenty of laughing and a bottle of champagne before the dress went on.
Bridal Portraits at The Headquarters
Before the ceremony we took Elisa through the venue in her lace gown and cathedral veil. The tall windows, dark wood floors and green staircase at The Headquarters made it easy to find soft light and room for her long train.
The Ceremony at The Headquarters
The ceremony began at 11 AM in front of a round arch draped in blush fabric and covered in blush, white and blue flowers. Elisa's parents walked her down the aisle, and Brandon was waiting for her at the front.
Wedding Party and Family at the Arch
Pictures with family were one of the things Elisa and Brandon were looking forward to most. We gathered the wedding party and then family and friends at the ceremony arch, and came back for more later in the day once they had changed into red.
Portraits at The Headquarters
The building opened in 1939 as San Diego's police headquarters, and it still has the details to show for it: a vintage elevator, a green staircase and a covered walkway under wooden beams. Elisa and Brandon made the most of every corner.
First Look at the Reception
Before guests came in, Elisa and Brandon saw their finished reception room together for the first time. Navy tablecloths, gold chargers and blush florals filled the room under the exposed wood beams, and every table card had its own illustrated drink.
Grand Entrance and First Dance
Elisa changed into a short white dress for the grand entrance. She danced with her dad to My Girl, then she and Brandon shared their first dance to a special version of Die with a Smile.
A Red Second Look
Later in the afternoon Elisa and Brandon changed into red. We took them back through the venue, from the staircase and a moody hallway to the lounge and the bar.
Speeches and Toasts
Family and friends took the microphone for a welcome speech and toasts, with Elisa and Brandon listening from the head table.
Cake Cutting
The white tiered cake from Violet Cake Company sat on a gold bar cart with a Mr and Mrs topper, and Elisa and Brandon cut it together to Beautiful by Crush.
Toasts with Guests and the Dance Floor
Elisa and Brandon went from table to table to toast with their guests, and the photo booth stayed busy. Then the dance floor filled up, with one big group photo of everyone in the room.
Late Afternoon Portraits by the Bay
After the reception we walked down to the water near Seaport Village for portraits on San Diego Bay. The late sun, a passing sailboat and the Coronado Bridge in the distance made a calm, golden end to the day.
