An Eden Gardens Wedding in Moorpark

Nicole and Caryl met more than a decade ago through mutual friends at UC Irvine and stayed close friends for years before Caryl took the leap and asked to be more. Today they are each other's best friends, happiest cooking together, trying a new restaurant or binge watching a series. On August 8, 2026 they married at Eden Gardens in Moorpark in ivory, pistachio green and touches of pale pink, with a first look and private vows by the fountain, a ceremony honoring their Filipino heritage and a reception that ended on a packed dance floor. Getting Ready in the Cottage and Bungalow

Nicole got ready with her bridesmaids in the cottage at Eden Gardens, starting in matching pale pink robes before stepping into her off the shoulder lace gown. Across the gardens, Caryl and his groomsmen suited up in the bungalow. The details carried their palette of ivory and pistachio green, down to the vow books and a Ring Security case for Nicole's brother Nathan.

A First Look and Private Vows by the Fountain

Nicole walked through the gardens to meet Caryl by the fountain near the reception area, just where they planned it. Then they read personal vows to each other under the trees, a quiet moment before the rest of the day began.

The Wedding Party

Nicole's bridesmaids wore pistachio green and Caryl's groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos, a mix of cousins, siblings and college friends. They brought plenty of energy to their photos around the ceremony arch.

Portraits Around Eden Gardens

Eden Gardens gave us a lot to work with: the tiered fountain, shaded garden paths, rows of cross back chairs and plenty of room for Nicole's cathedral veil to fly. Nicole and Caryl asked for photos together under the veil, and we made sure they got them.

A Garden Ceremony at Eden Gardens

Guests gathered among the palms for the ceremony under the domed arch at Eden Gardens. Nicole walked through the arch to meet her parents for the rest of the aisle, and the ceremony honored their Filipino heritage with the cord, veil and coin traditions before they walked back up the aisle as husband and wife.

Reception Details on the Patio

The reception was set on the patio with round tables, cross back chairs and a draped sweetheart table for two. Guests found a Love Set in Stone sign, a crossword puzzle about the couple and a QR code to share their own photos of the night.

Grand Entrance, First Dance and Parent Dances

The wedding party danced in bottle service style, waving signs and napkins, before Nicole and Caryl were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez. Their lightly choreographed first dance to Dive by Olivia Dean had everything they asked for: an underarm turn, a lift and a final dip, followed by parent dances to Stand by Me.
