Cindy & Alex at The East Angel
March 4, 2023 · The East Angel, Los Angeles
An East Angel Wedding in Los Angeles
Cindy and Alex have been together since high school, and ten years in they still talk about napping on the bus and slow drives in a Prius. They have shared an apartment and made it through Hurricane Sandy together. They married on March 4, 2023 at The East Angel in Los Angeles, with the ceremony on the turf courtyard, portraits on the rooftop, and a reception inside. The palette was sage green and white, with bridesmaids in sage, groomsmen in grey and a red tea ceremony dress for the afternoon. Here is their East Angel wedding, photographed by One and Only Production.
The Details
Cindy and Alex's rings sat in a green velvet hexagon box, styled with white blossom branches, white roses and a sage green invitation.
Cindy Gets Ready at The East Angel
Cindy got ready in the white brick bridal space at The East Angel, with tall steel framed windows, a blush pink sofa and plenty of soft light. A fluffy white dog in a red outfit kept her company.
Alex Gets Ready
Alex wore a black tuxedo and bow tie, finished with a white boutonniere.
First Look in the Courtyard
Alex waited on the turf courtyard beside the white brick wall, and Cindy walked up behind him. The first look was all smiles.
The Wedding Party
Bridesmaids in sage green and groomsmen in grey suits filled the courtyard, and the white dog joined the group photo too.
Portraits at The East Angel
We used the green hedge wall in the courtyard, then took Cindy and Alex up to the rooftop, where a white parapet and the Los Angeles skyline make a simple, clean backdrop.
The Tea Ceremony
Cindy changed into a red dress with gold embroidery and Alex into blue for the tea ceremony. They served tea to their families, and the white dog made an appearance here as well.
Ceremony in the Courtyard
The ceremony took place on the turf courtyard at The East Angel, with an aisle between rows of guests and tall white floral columns in front of a black wall. Cindy and Alex exchanged rings and vows with their wedding party beside them.
Reception Details
Inside, round tables were set with white linens, sage napkins and white florals, with a sage green seating chart and escort cards at the door. Dinner came from Chef Kendrick Tsang.
Grand Entrance and First Dance
Cindy came back in her red dress for the grand entrance, and she and Alex shared their first dance between the floral columns before dancing with family.
Speeches and Table Toasts
Friends and family gave speeches beside the sweetheart table, then Cindy and Alex went table to table for toasts with every group.
Bouquet Toss and Dance Floor
Cindy tossed her bouquet, changed into a white second look, and the dance floor under the warehouse ceiling filled up for the rest of the night.
Ice Cream to Finish
The night ended with ice cream cups, and Cindy and Alex made sure to share a bite.
