A Quail Hill Community Center Wedding in Irvine

Christie and Christian met on Hinge, and their favorite days still revolve around walks with their dog Izzo, boba runs, cooking dinner together and trying new restaurants. They married on October 3, 2026, starting the morning with a door game and two tea ceremonies, one at the Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel and one with Christian's family in Irvine. In the afternoon they walked down the aisle together at Quail Hill Community Center in Irvine, dressed in soft pastels of sky blue, lilac, pistachio, lemon sorbet, blush and peach. The day wrapped up with an animal encounter, mini alligator included, and a reception full of games. Here are their Quail Hill Community Center wedding photos, captured by One and Only Production.

Getting Ready at the Renaissance Newport Beach

Christie got ready at the Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel in a gold embroidered qun kwa, with her mom, her bridesmaids in pastel dresses and Izzo in a little red outfit of his own. Her details matched the palette: a lilac and floral invitation suite, daisies and ring boxes. Before heading out, she shared quiet moments with each of her parents by the window.

The Door Game

Christian skipped groomsmen for the day, but two friends, Ivan and Tyler, joined him for the morning door game. Christie's bridesmaids met them at the hotel suite door with a lineup of challenges, and Christian, in a red suit and yellow bow tie, did whatever it took to earn his way in to his bride.

Tea Ceremony with Christie's Family

The first tea ceremony was with Christie's family at the Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel. Their MC Chester kept things moving while Christie and Christian knelt to serve tea to her parents and relatives, who welcomed them with gold jewelry and red envelopes. Afterward a bridesmaid held a red umbrella over the couple as they left for the next ceremony.

Tea Ceremony with Christian's Family

Next they drove to Christian's family home in Irvine, where a red door and walls of double happiness papercuts were waiting. Christie arrived under the red umbrella, Izzo got a seat of honor, and the couple knelt again to serve tea to Christian's parents, grandparents and siblings.

Ceremony on the Back Lawn at Quail Hill

After an outfit change into Christie's white gown, the ceremony moved to the raised lawn behind Quail Hill Community Center, with white chairs under the wood pergola and pastel florals by Peonies and Petals. Christie and Christian walked down the aisle together, and they said their vows under the pergola in front of family and friends.

Family, Friends and Bridesmaids

Family photos came first, with everyone gathered on the lawn for a big group shot before the smaller groupings. Then Christie's six bridesmaids, friends from secondary school, graduate school and the gym, joined her under the trees in their pastel dresses.

Portraits with Izzo at Quail Hill

Christie and Christian wanted cute and playful photos with Izzo, so he came along for portraits on the paths and lawns around Quail Hill. Christie had a few solo portraits in her gown and veil too, and the golden afternoon light did the rest.

An Animal Encounter on the Patio

The animals were what Christian was most looking forward to, and the patio did not disappoint. Pony Parties 4 Kids brought small animals for guests to hold, and The Reptile Zoo set out snakes and a mini alligator, which Christie held herself. Kids and grown-ups crowded in all afternoon.

Reception at Quail Hill Community Center

Inside, the multipurpose room was dressed in white drapes with pastel florals along the sweetheart table and bud vases on every guest table. Guests found a welcome sign, a photo wall of the couple, a mochi and dessert table, a mobile bar and a Pho A'mie buffet.

Speeches, Games and Cake

Izzo joined the couple at the sweetheart table for the speeches, from the welcome to heartfelt toasts by friends. Then came the games, including a round of 收買佬 that had guests racing to the front with whatever was in their pockets, and trivia before the couple cut their cake.
