Chorok & Minsoo at Franciscan Gardens

March 28, 2026 · Franciscan Gardens, San Juan Capistrano

A Franciscan Gardens Wedding in San Juan Capistrano

Chorok and Min Soo first knew each other from church, became friends, and got closer playing golf together. Min Soo loves to joke around and has no plans to stop telling dad jokes, even if they usually earn a quiet head shake from Chorok. When she does laugh, he laughs right along with her. They married on March 28, 2026, starting with portraits at Mission San Juan Capistrano and then moving to Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano for the ceremony and reception in the courtyard. The palette was white and green, with both mothers in hanbok, a sand ceremony, and cup noodles at the end of the night. Here is their Franciscan Gardens wedding, photographed by One and Only Production.

The Details

Chorok and Min Soo's morning started with a green and white invitation suite, their wedding bands on a card lettered "His", a silver watch, a black bow tie and a red ring box.

Chorok Gets Ready

Chorok's off the shoulder gown hung outside under green vines before she stepped into it. She got ready in a bright white suite with arched mirrors and plenty of soft light.

Min Soo in His Tuxedo

Min Soo wore a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie and a white boutonniere. Of course he had a few poses ready for the camera.

Portraits at Mission San Juan Capistrano

Before the wedding, Chorok and Min Soo spent the early afternoon at Mission San Juan Capistrano. The stone church ruins, the covered arcades, the bougainvillea arches and the historic bell wall gave us a different backdrop around every corner, and Chorok's long veil caught the breeze in the ruins.

Portraits at Franciscan Gardens

Back at Franciscan Gardens, we had the ceremony aisle to ourselves before guests arrived. Tall green hedge walls and an arched mirror made for quiet portraits, and Chorok's veil wrapped around them both.

Ceremony Details at Franciscan Gardens

Guests came in through wooden doors past a welcome sign and a stone fountain. The aisle was lined with white flowers between the hedges, with a table set for the sand ceremony at the front.

The Ceremony at Franciscan Gardens

Both mothers, in pink and blue hanbok, bowed toward each other and to the guests to open the ceremony. Pastor Ko officiated, Chorok and Min Soo exchanged rings and poured their sand together, and they bowed to everyone who came before walking back up the aisle as a married couple.

Family and Friends

After the ceremony there were hugs and photos with family and friends in front of the ceremony florals.

Reception in the Courtyard at Franciscan Gardens

The reception was set in the courtyard under the wooden pergola and bistro lights, with white linens, green napkins and low white centerpieces. A mirror sign told guests to celebrate, and the dessert table was ready for later.

Second Look Portraits

Chorok changed into a second gown and Min Soo into a white jacket, and we took a few quiet minutes with them among the tables before the party started.

Grand Entrance and First Dance

Chorok and Min Soo made their entrance to cheering guests and shared a first dance full of turns. Chorok then danced with her dad, and Min Soo shared a dance with his family.

Speeches

Family and friends took the microphone beside the sweetheart table. There were a lot of laughs, and Chorok's laugh is the contagious kind, so Min Soo laughed right along with her.

Cake and Bouquet Toss

The white wedding cake sat against the hedges, lit by candles as evening came in. Chorok and Min Soo cut it together, and then Chorok tossed her bouquet.

Games, Dancing and Late Night Noodles

Reception games got everyone on their feet, and the dance floor under the string lights stayed full. To close the night, there were cup noodles for everyone, Chorok and Min Soo included.
