Bridgette & Henrik's Tea Ceremony

A Tea Ceremony at Home in North Tustin

Bridgette and Henrik met at UCLA through mutual friends, spent a year as friends and then started dating. These days they love cooking together, trying new restaurants and trading puns. On May 16, 2026, before their wedding at Coyote Hills Golf Course in Fullerton, they started the morning at Bridgette's parents' home in North Tustin with a flat lay, the groom's gift tray procession, a door game and a tea ceremony with both families, all in red qun kwa under double happiness papercuts. Here is their North Tustin tea ceremony, photographed by One and Only Production.

Details at Home in North Tustin

The morning started with a flat lay of Bridgette's details, peach roses and all, while her parents' home filled up with red. Double happiness papercuts and butterflies hung in the windows, lanterns swayed in the backyard and the tea set waited on a red table by the window.

Gift Trays and Henrik's Arrival

Henrik arrived in a red changshan with his family and groomsmen, carrying red covered gift trays up the street. The trays, a roast pig among them, were presented to Bridgette's family at the front door before the door game could begin.

The Door Game

Bridgette's bridesmaids in soft blue held the door, and Henrik had to work his way in with bouquets, red envelopes and a few challenges while both families crowded the entry to watch.

Serving Tea to Both Families

Bridgette and Henrik served tea to parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles in the living room, in front of a big double happiness papercut. Each elder took a sip and welcomed them with gold jewelry, red envelopes and plenty of laughter.

Bridgette's Qun Kwa

Between moments, Bridgette had a few quiet minutes in her red and gold qun kwa. We focused on the details she asked us to capture: the embroidery, her gold hair pins and the jewelry from the tea ceremony.

Henrik matched her in an embroidered changshan, and we took them around the house for portraits under the double happiness papercuts and red butterflies before they changed for the ceremony.

Family Portraits

Before heading to Coyote Hills, the families gathered in the living room for portraits, from formal groupings to a few playful ones.
