A Seabird Resort Wedding in Oceanside

Angela and Eli love being active together, from skiing and snowboarding to basketball. Angela calls Eli active, caring and hardworking, and Eli would call her patient, organized and detailed, which shows in all the homemade decor they made for the day. They married on May 12, 2024 at Seabird Resort in Oceanside, with getting ready, the ceremony and the reception all at the resort. The palette was peach, blush and ivory, and the day moved from a balcony first look to a champagne tower, an oceanfront ceremony and a ballroom reception full of family and friends. The Details

Angela and Eli's flat lay came together in blush, ivory and terracotta: their rings, a hexagon ring box, a vow book and Eli's bow tie and shoes.

Angela Gets Ready at Seabird Resort

Angela got ready in a sunlit suite at Seabird Resort with the Oceanside palms right outside the window. Once she was in her lace gown we took her out to the ocean view balcony and down the resort's blue patterned staircase.

Eli Gets Ready

Eli suited up in a black tuxedo and bow tie in the window light, then stepped out to the palm lined garden paths.

A First Look on the Balcony

Eli waited on a balcony overlooking the palms while Angela walked up behind him. One tap on the shoulder and the first look ended in a long hug.

Portraits at Seabird Resort

We spent portrait time moving through Seabird Resort, from the grand staircase and the palm filled lounges to the oceanfront walkway and the floral ceremony arch. We finished in the ballroom at their sweetheart table before the guests came in.

A Champagne Tower in the Garden

Before the ceremony Angela and Eli poured a champagne tower together in the garden, then raised a glass with their family.

Ceremony on the Oceanfront Terrace

The ceremony was set on an oceanfront terrace at Seabird Resort, with palms overhead and an arch of peach, blush and ivory roses by Eveni Floral. Angela walked down the aisle to Eli, they exchanged vows and rings, and guests cheered them back up the aisle.

Family, Friends and Cocktail Hour

Family reunion was what Angela and Eli were most excited about, so we made time for family and friends at the arch, including one photo with every guest. Cocktail hour followed inside and out on the terrace.

Reception Details in the Ballroom

Angela and Eli made much of their decor by hand, including the welcome sign, the seating chart and the table signs. The ballroom at Seabird Resort had long tables under rattan chandeliers, with taper candles and peach roses running down each one.

Grand Entrance, First Dance and Parent Dances

Angela changed into a short white dress for the reception, and after their grand entrance she and Eli took the floor for their first dance, followed by the parent dances.

Speeches and Table Visits

Speeches brought plenty of laughs from the tables, and Angela took the microphone too before the two of them went around to visit their guests.

Games, Cake and the Bouquet Toss

A few reception games kept everyone on their feet before Angela and Eli cut their four tier cake on its bed of peach florals. Angela then tossed her bouquet to her friends.

The Dance Floor

The DJ kept the ballroom going for the rest of the night, and Angela and Eli stayed in the middle of the dance floor with their friends.
